The Set Back:
I am a mom, wife and teacher. In addition to my daily responsibilities, I am caring for a parent with Alzheimer’s. Needless to say, everyone took priority over me.
The Wake-up Call:
I found myself weighing more than I did with each of my pregnancies. I was very unhealthy and tired all the time. Not to mention, my blood pressure and cholesterol were way too high compared to the “norm”.
Last September, my friend Jen Ciampi posted a picture about boot camp at Leverage Fitness Studio in Pittston. It was 2 days a week and I thought, I would give it a try.
It was really tough in the beginning because I hadn’t done any exercise in quite some time. I belonged to other gyms in the past but never made it longer than a month. The trainers at LVG were so supportive and said just keep coming back. So I did, and eventually I even started trying more classes. I’ve done every boot camp since then! I now find myself at Leverage 4-5 times a week and I love it! I am healthier than I have been in years, I have lost pounds and inches and I am stronger, both physically and mentally, than I ever thought I could be.
The Shout Outs:
I’m very lucky to have supportive family and friends. I don’t know if I would have made it this long without Jen Ciampi and Vanessa Nee right along side me. And I definitely would have stopped long ago if not for the excellent trainers at Leverage Pittston. Jen, Jess, Danny and Dori make every class a challenge and somehow we still have fun doing it. I truly cannot thank them all enough for all their support and encouragement. I am also very grateful to Tim for creating a gym unlike any other, I cannot image my life without it. What a difference a year makes!
